In the glass, it shines a bright yellow-green. On the nose, an aromatic interplay of mango, papaya, lime, red grapefruit, and lemongrass, accompanied by mint, lemon balm, and a hint of flint.

🌿 Terroir & Soil

The foundation of Quarz's success: sandy-loamy soils of volcanic origin, interspersed with quartz porphyry with up to 60% quartz content.

These mineral-rich, well-drained soils with a slightly acidic pH value produce wines that impress with their saltiness, tension, and longevity.

The Terlan microclimate – hot days, cool nights – gives the grapes their incomparable aroma and balance.

🪵 Vinification & Aging

The grapes are hand-picked and selected.

After gentle whole-bunch pressing, natural sedimentation of the must follows, then slow fermentation at controlled temperature.

The wine matures for 9 months on fine lees, which gives it structure, texture, and depth.
