🍷 San Román 2021 – Elegance with backbone

In the glass, the 2021 San Román presents itself in an impenetrable violet hue. Aromas of black fruits, cherries, and delicate spices unfold on the nose. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fresh, and with fine-grained tannins—wonderfully balanced between fruit and structure.

The grapes come from old Tempranillo vines that thrive on stony, sandy soils – a terroir that gives the wine its typical mineral depth.

The San Román 2021 comes from the DO Toro and is vinified from 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo).

It has an alcohol content of 14.5% and develops its aromas ideally at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C .

Due to its design and structure, it has a storage capacity until 2031 .

🪵 Vinification & Aging

Vinified in steel tanks, then aged for 24 months in new and used American and French oak barrels (225–500 l).

This long resting period gives the wine its complex structure, fine spice and distinctive texture on the finish.
