🌿 Terroir & Maturation

The grapes come from old vines from La Horra, Gumiel de Izan and Moradillo , located in the highlands of the Ribera del Duero.

This is where dense, aromatic grapes with a special minerality and structure are produced.

After fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in French oak before each barrel batch is individually tasted and selected – only the best barrels bear the name Preludio .

Javier Zaccagnini , former managing director of Bodegas AALTO , founded his own passion project in 2007 – a homage to Johann Sebastian Bach and the art of balance.
