Nestled in the rolling hills of the Tuscan Maremma, Petra 2022 is a wine that combines the power of its origins with exceptional elegance.

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc comes from vines around 20 years old, growing in calcareous soils with clay and gravel. The proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea, cool nights, and constant sea breezes lend the wine its characteristic freshness and depth.

Even on the nose, Petra reveals an impressive complexity. Dark forest berries, black cherry jam, and Mediterranean herbs combine with subtle notes of rosemary, tobacco, cinnamon, and a hint of balsamic mint.

On the palate, it presents itself as full-bodied and powerful, yet remarkably precise and balanced. Velvety tannins carry the concentrated fruit, and together with the fine spice, ensure a long, elegant finish.

After a three-week fermentation in steel tanks, the wine matures for at least 18 months in barriques, 25% of which are new wood, before aging for another 18 months in the bottle. This long maturation period gives it structure, complexity, and exceptional aging potential.
