Crafted from organically grown grapes in the vineyards of Tudela del Duero and Traspinedo, it displays a deep purple in the glass, while the nose offers ripe black fruit aromas accompanied by exotic spices and fine precious wood. 🪵 Vinification & Maturation

The Mauro is vinified in steel tanks and then aged for 15 months in French oak barriques and foudres . This combination lends it finesse, depth, and a perfectly integrated oak influence that sustains its noble structure.

👨🌾 About Bodegas Mauro – the story of a legend

Bodegas Mauro was founded in 1980 by Mariano García – a name synonymous with winemaking in Spain. Born out of love for his father, this winery is now one of the most prestigious wineries in the country.

Mariano García was chief oenologist at Vega Sicilia —arguably Spain's most famous winery—from 1985 to 1998, significantly shaping its global reputation. After this period, he and his partners founded the Aalto winery, which is considered one of the new cult wines of Ribera del Duero.

Despite international success, Mariano remained true to his family and his roots. Today, he runs Bodegas Mauro together with his sons , Alberto and Eduardo García , who continue his passion and philosophy: uncompromising quality, a deep understanding of the terroir, and the pursuit of elegance in the glass.
