Pastificio Gentile was founded in 1876 and is located in Gragnano, Campania in Italy. The town has been famous for its dried pasta since the 16th century and is considered the unofficial capital of pasta, which is protected and guaranteed by the trademark of the “Pasta di Gragnano IGP” consortium. becomes.

For this quality pasta, only the best flour made from 100% original Italian durum wheat (Senatore Capelli) is used. An old, regionally rooted wheat variety.

The pasta is still partly made by hand. The dough is pressed exclusively through bronze matrices, which gives the pasta its unique velvety, rough texture, which ensures optimal absorption of sauces.

After shaping, the pasta is carefully dried slowly and gently at a maximum of 50 °C for up to 42 hours.
