Subheading: Rosé Champagne with aromas of raspberry and currant, underpinned by fine minerality – a feast for the senses
France, Champagne, Côte de Bar, 75cl, 12.00 Vol%
Discover the elegant fruitiness of the Huguenot-Tassin les Fioles Rosé! This exquisite rosé champagne from the renowned Côte de Bar combines the finesse of Chardonnay and the fruity intensity of Pinot Noir for an unforgettable taste experience. The perfectly exposed "les Fioles" vineyard and a single vintage guarantee a champagne of exceptional quality and true terroir.
A rosé champagne that inspires:
• Bright color play: A beautiful raspberry pink with a lively, fine perlage.
• Enticing bouquet: The nose is pampered with intense aromas of ripe raspberries and juicy red currants, accompanied by subtle spicy notes and a hint of red roses.
• Fresh & Mineral Palate: An open, clean entry followed by a creamy texture. Fruity and crisp notes are carried by a mineral vein that adds structure and breadth to the palate.
• Long-lasting, fruity finish: The slender finish is extended by a lively raspberry acidity that beautifully underlines the fresh and bright fruit aromas.
• Terroir-influenced & unique: A champagne that reflects the special personality of the Côte de Bar and the vintage.
• Sustainable & family-run: The Huguenot-Tassin winery is managed with respect for nature (Terra Vitis & HVE certified) and stands for tradition and quality.
Awards: "Awarded 93 points by the Dussert-Gerbert Guide."
This is how this elegant rosé champagne is created:
This 2017 Rosé de Macération is made from 95% Pinot Noir and 5% Chardonnay, fermented in maceration. The wine is vinified in vats with malolactic fermentation. The champagne then ages on its lees for 24 to 36 months and is treated with a Brut dosage of 6 g/l.
Fits perfectly with:
• Aperitif
• Grilled red mullet with peppery jus
• Tomato pesto with basil
• Salmon tartare with dill
Drinking temperature: Recommended at 8-10°C.
Huguenot-Tassin Winery – Tradition and Terroir in the Côte de Bar:
Located in the heart of southern Champagne, more precisely in the charming town of Celles-sur-Ource in the Côte de Bar, lies the Huguenot-Tassin winery. Founded in 1984 by Benoît and Marie-Claire Huguenot, it is now run by their two children, Adeline and Edouard, thus continuing a long family tradition.
The family's winemaking roots, however, go back much further. As early as the beginning of the last century, the Tassin family, from which Marie-Claire comes, pressed grapes from the winegrowers in their small village. Now the fourth generation to produce champagne in Celles-sur-Ource, the Huguenot-Tassin family looks respectfully to its past to shape and enhance the future of champagne. This deep understanding of the tradition and terroir of the Côte de Bar significantly shapes their work.
The philosophy of sustainable balance:
The Huguenot-Tassin winery is driven by a clear philosophy: the search for sustainable balance. Following this principle, Adeline and Edouard strive to produce Champagnes that are increasingly expressive, refined, and complex. Their focus is on authentically expressing the unique terroir of the Côte des Bar, a region with a strong personality and high-quality soils.
Respect for the terroir: The soul of champagne:
The Côte des Bar in the Aube region differs geologically from the more northern Champagne region. Kimmeridge limestone and marl soils dominate here, lending the wines a distinctive minerality and structure. Huguenot-Tassin is conscious of this precious heritage and works every day to respect this magnificent terroir and bring out its unique characteristics in its champagnes.
Commitment to precision and ecological balance:
The path Huguenot-Tassin has taken to maximize the terroir and produce expressive Champagnes is based on precision in the vineyard and a deep commitment to ecological (sustainable) balance. This is reflected in their Terra Vitis and HVE (High Environmental Value) certifications. These certifications confirm their efforts to cultivate a more respectful approach to nature, reduce environmental impacts, and promote biodiversity in their vineyards.
Expressive and elegant champagnes with emotion and authenticity:
Huguenot-Tassin's ultimate goal is to offer Champagnes that are more than just a sparkling drink. They are designed to evoke emotions and reflect the authenticity of their terroir. Every step in the vineyard and cellar is meticulously executed to preserve the subtle nuances of the grapes and soil, creating Champagnes of distinctive character. The aromas of lemon, grapefruit, white flowers, and a hint of butter in the Blanc de Blancs "les Fioles" are a direct expression of this philosophy.
The Huguenot-Tassin winery exemplifies a successful combination of family tradition, deep respect for nature, and the tireless pursuit of excellence in champagne production. Their champagnes are ambassadors of the Côte de Bar and invite you to discover the unique personality of this fascinating region.
