The grapes are harvested when fully ripe in the first half of October. Vinification begins in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The young wine then ages for two years in wooden barrels, partly in barriques and partly in 500-liter tonneau barrels.

Great aging potential, but even as a young wine it goes excellently with red meat, mature cheese and game dishes.

Azienda Agricola Molino was founded in 1991 by Virginio Molino. Today, siblings Tommaso, Franco, and Dario Molino run the family business. They produce excellent wines on their small vineyard on the Ausario hill outside Treiso in Piedmont. Barbaresco, Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, as well as Chardonnay and Arneis are cultivated on over 16 hectares.

The heart of the winery is the Ausario vineyard, whose vines grow on whitish-gray layered clay soils in a favorable, windy microclimate. The powerful, spicy wines with plenty of extract, moderate acidity, and a full-bodied character are evident from old, well-tended vines.
