The unique terroir of the Ried Tatschler is predestined for great white wines. The combination of the cool microclimate and the lime-rich primary rock soil creates a Chardonnay that impresses with its enormous saltiness and tight structure. The long, careful aging in wooden barrels impressively expresses the complexity and minerality of the location as well as the depth of fruit in the Chardonnay.

Harvesting and grape selection by hand, short maceration time, gentle pressing, slow fermentation with natural yeasts in 500-litre wooden barrels, maturation and aging for 18 months on the fine yeast.

The Ried Tatschler is one of the best locations for Burgundy in Burgenland. Our top Chardonnay produces an immense minerality - characterized by the limestone and primary rock soils.

Impressive fruity nose with lots of exoticism, pineapple, lychee, fine tobacco notes, incense, lime, mineral character, powerful, almost opulent fruitiness, juicy and dense, perfectly balanced, with a tight structure, great substance and harmonious right up to the long aftertaste, a monument.
