Black with a purple edge. Unusually sweet, dense, lush nose for Lynch. Black cherry, crème de cassis and blueberry, with the sweetness and soft, rich tannins I would have placed it in Spain blind, Toro perhaps, but then a bit of tar and black earth is missing. Lynch has charm and is very concentrated in the nose. Also extremely charming in the mouth, sweet, red and black forest berries, almost jammy, rich tannins, blackberry and rich chocolate, in the aftertaste also ripe plum with grated chocolate. Where is the brittle and slightly rustic classic that the English like so much? This racy, powerful, rich, fruity charm offensive is impressive, now and for a very long time.
